Welcome to Bright Country Golf Club, set between Bright and Porepunkah on the banks of the Ovens River in Victoria's High Country. Our 18-hole, par 72 course winds through 50 hectares of valley floor with the Alps rising at every turn, offering a genuine challenge and a setting that is hard to beat anywhere in regional Victoria.

The course has been refined and improved since it opened in 1989 and is maintained year-round by a dedicated grounds team. Native couch fairways, bent grass greens and a layout that rewards thoughtful golf without punishing those who are simply here to enjoy themselves. Whether you are chasing a handicap reduction, competing in one of our regular club events, or playing your first round in the High Country, this is a course you will want to come back to.

After your round, the clubhouse is where the club comes alive. Pull up a chair on the deck, order a drink from the bar, and let the afternoon go where it wants. We have cold beers, wine, soft drinks, and enough snacks and light food to keep you going. The deck looks out directly over the course and on a clear day the views across the valley are something special.

You do not need to be a member to enjoy the Golf Club. Visitors are welcome seven days a week, with green fees payable at the pro shop on arrival. Tee time bookings are recommended on weekends and competition days, and golf carts are available for hire.

Bright is one of Victoria's most loved destinations and the golf club is a natural addition to any High Country visit. We have been part of this community since 1909 and we remain a club where golfers of every age and ability feel at home.
